Students

Growing together.

Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you are welcome here.

The LBC Student Ministry, 6th grade through 12th grade, is a part of the bigger vision of the church for families which is our Next Generation Ministries. We desire to invest in students and families so that we can make the greatest impact here in Lexington and around the world.

Middle School

High School

Middle School Ministry exists to fuel passion within our hearts to learn more about who we are in Jesus.  Think about how important it is to have someone walk beside you in Middle School, while you're figuring out where you fit in, what that means about who you are, and where church and family fit in with that.  We want them to own these three things:

1. I will love God because He never stopped loving me.
2. I will follow Jesus because He knows me better than I know myself.
3. I will live out God's story so others can know who Jesus is.

High School Ministry exists to focus on ownership as we fuel passion in students to reach others.  We want them to be able to share their story of faith with others. We want them to understand that faith is a daily walk, not a list of rules.  We want them to know God is invested and passionate about every aspect of their lives.  We want them to know these three things:

1. They are created to have authentic relationship with their Creator.
2. They belong to Jesus and are defined by what He says about them and not what the world says.
3. They exist every day to demonstrate God's love to a broken world.

Sunday Mornings

Wednesday Nights

9:00am-11:45am

Our students meet in The City (upstairs in the Family Life Center, next door to the main church building) at 9am for Sunday School and then we head to the sanctuary to worship together for the 10:30am service!

5:30pm-7:30pm

We worship and hang out together on Wednesdays at "Breakout" in The City (upstairs in the Family Life Center, next door to the main church building). Come early and eat pizza ($2/person) from 5:30pm  until we get started at 6pm.

INgROUPS

Get Connected. Go Deeper.

8 weeks each semester (September & October, February & March), our students are involved in INgROUPS, gender-specific small groups, in host homes. These small groups allow students a place to dig deeper into their faith and share their hearts with a close-knit group, led by godly leaders. These take place on Sunday nights from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Each INgROUP will look different, but a typical night will look something like this: hangout time / food / bible study / discussion / prayer. If you'd like to volunteer to be a host home or if you'd like to be a part of a group, just let us know by emailing Kristen.
