We want kids who place their trust in God, not only…

In a moment. At VBS. On the last night of camp. But every day!

This summer, we want to move from making church a week-long attraction to a summer-long attraction- which will more effectively make Jesus a life-long attraction.

So, this summer we are going on a road trip- and we’re staying right here in Lexington for all the fun! We are extending our week-long VBS to the whole summer! We can’t wait for you (and your friends and neighbors) to join us!

What is the LBC Summer Road Trip?

From June to August, we are hosting nine different events throughout the entire summer. These events include a Sunday morning, church-wide kids’ celebration, family worship experiences, family fun nights and small group hang times.

What are the events like?

Our Summer Kick-off will be a great day that begins in worship on June 1, as we have a full take-over of our morning services! That night at 5 pm, we’ll kick off our summer with a huge event in our main parking lot featuring BMX racers and more!

Our Family Fun Nights are free, off-campus events with lots of family fun, games and excitement. We’re planning a neon sake party in June and a family-oriented team competition night in July.

Fam Jams are high-energy, interactive worship experiences for kids and their parents. They’re filled with music, sketches and comedy as we learn our place in God’s big story.

Small group hang times are get-togethers organized by our Sunday morning elementary small groups, where they can choose a fun activity to do as a group. This can be anything from sleepovers to frozen yogurt outings to laser tag- the options are endless!

There are lots more things planned, so stay tuned for all the details!

How can I keep track of all of the events?

We’re glad you asked! We’ve created an awesome road map for our summer road trip, just click the picture below to see the whole thing. We encourage you to share these maps with your children so that they can keep track, too. You can also pick up hard copies in the Children’s Building lobby.
