Small Groups Ministry
|
|
Meaningful relationships are an important part of everyone’s spiritual growth.
In large group gatherings like our Sunday worship services, however, it’s hard to develop those meaningful relationships. People need to get to know one another on a more intimate basis in order to grow spiritually. The Lexington Baptist Small Groups Ministry is designed to assist people in finding places of involvement and growth where relationships are made and strengthened, where people are introduced to Christ, and where leaders are equipped for service.
There is a place for you in our Small Groups Ministry.

Sunday Morning Bible Study
Through our Sunday Morning Bible Study Groups, we desire to:
Provide a supportive ministry of prayer, care, and fellowship
Lead people toward first-time and/or empowered
personal relationships with Christ
Reach people for Bible study
Teach the Bible
Lead people to worship
Support the vision and overall ministry of the church
Every Sunday morning, we invite you to come to Lexington Baptist at 8:00, 9:00, or 10:15 a.m. for in-depth, meaningful Bible study with others who want to know more about God's will, His wisdom, and His work.
Friendly Greeters are located throughout our campus to help you find the right Bible Study group for you. Also, a detailed and up-to-date listing of class options is available at the Information Center located in the Worship Center lobby.

Praying for Prodigals
Sundays at 3:30 p.m. in 502AEB
Do you have a child or other family member who is a prodigal, or know someone who does? Join us as we pray for our prodigals! There is mighty power in prayers of agreement. In Matthew 18:19, Jesus says “…if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father Who is in Heaven.” Come and be encouraged by other praying believers! Discipleship Groups
 |
Re-Focus, Re-Structure, Re-Name
Beginning on October 13, we will offer a number of small group gatherings that we are calling “Discipleship Groups.” Why Discipleship Groups? The suffix “ship” in discipleship means “being in the state of something.”
Rather than offer many classes on a variety of topics, we want to offer fewer classes that are wrapped around the central theme of “Passionately Pursuing God.” Therefore, the classes offered this fall will concentrate on worship and prayer. In the spring, the emphasized core value for our Discipleship groups will be “Powerfully Impacting the World,” concentrating on evangelism, missions, and benevolent acts.
Watch for more information on the specifics of each class.
