The Congregational Care Ministry of Lexington Baptist Church provides care, concern, prayer and support for families and individuals at various stages, places and circumstances of life. The focus of the Congregational Care office is to respond to the care and support needs of the church family and to engage them in the ongoing spiritual, physical, emotional and relational expression of living faithfully within the Body of Christ.
Our team of pastors and deacons visits hospitals on a rotating basis each week and pastors are on-call each weekend for emergencies. Please contact the Church Office, 803.359.4146, to inform us of the hospitalization of a church member.
LBC Senior Adult "VIP" Ministry
Ministry to homebound individuals, whether they are at home or in senior care facilities, is such a blessing to both the individual and the church. More visitors are always needed as new people are regularly added to our "VIP" Member list. To get involved, contact Debbie Smith at 803.996.8843 for more information.
Through generous donations and designated funds to Lexington Baptist Church’s Benevolence Fund, we provide care and assistance for our members who may be in crisis and experiencing financial hardship. If you are a member of LBC, and are in need of financial assistance, please call 803.359.4146 to schedule an appointment with the Associate Pastor for Congregational Care.
All couples scheduling Lexington Baptist Church for their wedding ceremony must complete an approved premarital counseling program designed to equip engaged couples with Biblical principles for a successful marriage. The LBC premarital counseling is a six to eight-session course tailored to suit the needs of each couple.
- Following submission of wedding application, the Congregational Care Office will contact the engaged couple to schedule premarital counseling. There is a testing and materials fee for premarital counseling which will be outlined in the premarital counseling packet.
- The Senior Pastor must approve all premarital counseling programs to be completed outside LBC. Failure to complete the approved counseling requirements will result in the possible postponement or cancellation of your wedding at LBC.
