Pastor Mike’s new series called “Postcards of Grace” runs from Sunday, October 19 through Sunday, November 23 and focuses on some of the shorter books of the Old Testament: Ruth, Ezra, Esther, Hosea, Jonah and Habakkuk. Each week will focus on a new book- showing us something new from the Old Testament about God’s Grace in action. Join us for this great series at either 9 or 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center.
Men, join us for our last monthly men’s Bible study of the year on Friday, November 21 at 7 a.m. in the Reception Hall. This study is led by guest teacher Foster Christy and gives you the chance to learn more about God’s Word for men and fellowship with others. We’ve got coffee and doughnuts- make sure to be there!
This year LBC is hosting our annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 23 at 7 p.m. in the Worship Center. The other area churches participating are Radius Church, St. Stephens Lutheran, New Bethel AME and Lexington United Methodist. The speaking pastor will be Rev. Vernon Dixon from New Bethel AME. We hope you’ll make plans to join us!
On November 30, we are beginning a new Christmas sermon series called “Why Did Jesus Come?” This five-part series will look at all of the reasons Jesus came to Earth. This is a departure from the average Christmas sermon series, looking from an evangelistic perspective at the holiday season. We hope that you’ll join us and invite a friend, Sundays from November 30 through December 21. The last message of this series will be delivered during our Christmas Eve Services.
LBC is hosting the Annie Moses Band in concert on Wednesday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $8 on our website or through the music office (803.996.8832). This is a family-friendly event and features high-energy, excellent music to celebrate the season. Get the full details and buy your tickets here.
It’s back… Christmas at the Barn returns on Friday and Saturday, December 12 and 13! Join us at Harmon’s Tree Farm in Gilbert from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a whole new take on the Christmas story. We’ll have live Christmas music, hot chocolate, snow, a bonfire, a photo booth, hayrides and more! You do not want to miss this amazing, free event. Don’t forget to invite a friend. Find out more here.
Join us for Christmas at Lexington Baptist Church! We will have three options for our annual Christmas Eve services. One on Tuesday, December 23 at 5 p.m., then two on Wednesday, December 24 at both 5 and 7 p.m. in the Worship Center.
*On December 28, the Sunday after Christmas, we will have only one service at 10:30 a.m. and no Sunday School.*
From January 1 to 21, 2015, LBC will be going on “The Daniel Fast” as a church body. You can find full details about this fast in our ebook on our website, or you can pick up a hard copy of our Daniel Fast guide at the Information Center in the Worship Center foyer.
