Kingdom Authority Art w date

 

Pastor Mike begins a new Wednesday night Bible study on October 1 (runs through Nov. 12) called “Kingdom Authority: Living in the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit. This study will meet in the Chapel at both 4 and 6:15 p.m.- choose whichever time works best for your schedule. If you’re here at 6:15, don’t forget to RSVP and join us for dinner!

Our fall session of D Groups begin October 1 and run through November 12. We will be offering three Discipleship Groups: one on parenting, one for women and one for men. These groups meet on Wednesday nights at 6:15 p.m., and you can find more details and preregister on our D Groups page.

 

 

Postcards Series Promo w date

Pastor Mike’s new series called “Postcards of Grace” begins on Sunday, October 19 and focuses on some of the shorter books of the Old Testament: Ruth, Ezra, Esther, Hosea, Jonah and Habakkuk. Each week will focus on a new book- showing us something new from the Old Testament. Join us for this great series at either 9 or 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center.

 

 

Monthly Mens Bible 10-24-14Our monthly men’s Bible study will be held on Friday, October 24 at 7 a.m. in the Reception Hall. Foster Christy is our guest teacher for this study. Invite a friend and come for coffee, doughnuts and fellowship while you learn.

 

 

 

LUTN SlideWe are so excited for our annual fall celebration “Light Up the Night” here at LBC. This great night features trunk or treat, rides, games, live music and more! Bring your family and friends to LBC’s main parking lot on Wednesday, October 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and get ready for a great time! If you’d like to volunteer to decorate your trunk for this event, please contact Kristen King with the Next Gen Ministry.

Dinner with the Pastor Nov 2

Our next Dinner with the Pastor will be on Sunday, November 2 at 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This is a casual dinner for new members or anyone considering church membership. Run For God slide

Run for God is a 12 week 5K training program that parallels running with the Christian Life. The group begins on November 8 and you can get the full info and details here.

 

 

 

great date challenge 10-19 blended

On Saturday, November 15 from 5 to 9 p.m., we will partner with our parents to allow for an intentional date night together. The Great Date Challenge is a chance for parents to get some alone time and for your children to have a great time with us! We will provide you with a pre-planned date kit, and we’ll provide a pizza dinner for your children. The cost is $10 per child ($25 family max), and sign-ups begin October 19 in the Children’s Lobby. Registration will only remain open until we reach capacity, so sign up quickly! Email Kristen at kking@lexingtonbaptist.org for more information.

 

community thanksgivingThis year LBC is hosting our annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 23 at 7 p.m. in the Worship Center. The other area churches participating are Radius Church, St. Stephens Lutheran, New Bethel AME and Lexington United Methodist. The speaking pastor will be Rev. Vernon Dixon from New Bethel AME. We hope you’ll make plans to join us!

Christmas Barn Ad 2014 wideIt’s back… Christmas at the Barn returns on Friday and Saturday, December 12 and 13! Join us at Harmon’s Tree Farm in Gilbert from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a whole new take on the Christmas story. Christmas Eve TimesJoin us for Christmas at Lexington Baptist Church! We will have three options for our annual Christmas Eve services. One on Tuesday, December 23 at 5 p.m., then two on Wednesday, December 24 at both 5 and 7 p.m. in the Worship Center.
