This Week at LBC:
Going on Now:
Our belief is that the Lord is leading Lexington Baptist Church to a new expression of worship where the old distinctions of “traditional,” “contemporary” and even “blended” no longer apply. A new season of unified worship is ready to begin, and on Sunday, March 2, 2014, our church family will move to a single, unified experience of worship. In preparation for this new season in the life of our church, we have started the “ONE Campaign.” Join us in praying intentionally for our church family as we enter this new worship experience. Click to watch our weekly video devotional and learn more about “ONE.”
Beginning in January of 2014, our Men’s Ministry here at LBC has been transformed. We are excited to introduce to you a more vibrant ministry capable of making a bigger difference in the lives of the men in our church family and beyond. This relaunched ministry will now feature: - Monthly Men’s Bible Studies led by Foster Christy – Men’s Accountability Groups – Weekly Encouragement from Pastor Mike – Yearly Men’s Gathering Get all the details on our Men’s Ministry page.
Did you miss the “Real Women. Real Stuff. Real Hope.” conference this fall? Or did you attend and wish you could have experienced more of the breakout sessions? Well, great news! We will be beginning a brand new “Real Women. Real Stuff. Real Hope.” Wednesday Night Series starting January 8, 2014 at 6:30 pm and running through March 12. See all the details and full session descriptions on our Women’s Ministry page.
LBC Students, get ready for IGNITE on March 7 through the 9th. We’re taking it back Old School with this year’s theme, and we are so excited to have Nathan Smith as our main stage speaker and music from Justin Putnam. The cost for the weekend is $30 and the deadline to register is March 2, so take care of business! For more info, email firstname.lastname@example.org. You don’t want to miss it!
Men, join us on Friday, March 28 for our next monthly men’s Bible study. These studies are led by Foster Christy and meet in the Reception Hall at 7 am. For more info, check out the men’s ministry page of our website.
In Matthew 5:16, we are told “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” We are excited to announce our special Sunday called “Live the Light” on March 30. We will focus on living the light of Christ to impact the Kingdom. Our schedule will be the same with worship at 9 and 10:30 am, but there will be no children’s Sunday school that day (Wee Care provided for birth through 3), and children are invited to attend worship with their parents (they’ll get a “Passport” activity booklet to involve them in the service). Sunday School classes will be eating a meal together during their class time (see your teacher for details). Get ready to live the light! Get the full details here.
