Pastor Mike is beginning a new Wednesday night series called “Resting in the Father’s Love” which will explore our destiny as children of the King. Join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel from September 30 through November 11 for this series.

Every Sunday in October, Pastor Mike will be leading us in a new series called “A Word to the Wise,” which will lead us through Proverbs. We’ll also be providing a devotional guide for our congregation during this series that will walk you through reading one chapter of Proverbs each day during the month of October. Join us Sundays at 9 or 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center.

Have you found yourself in a place where the tables are beginning to turn, where you are taking some responsibility for some of your parents’ physical, financial or emotional needs? Preschool families, our next Preschool Playdate is on Tuesday, October 6 at 12 p.m. at Virginia Hylton Park in Lexington. Bring your kiddos, friends and a picnic lunch, and we’ll bring the desserts and the fun!
One of our favorite events of the year is coming up on Wednesday, October 28- Light up the Night! Join us in the LBC Main Parking Lot from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for Trunk or Treat, rides, games, music & LOTS of candy! Dress your kids up and have a great time as a family. Our student ministry is hosting their annual High School Lock-Out on October 30-31 from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. This event is for 9th-12th graders, and the cost is $35. To register your student, email email@example.com.
Our senior adults will be attending their fall retreat from November 9-11 at Ridgecrest Conference Center. This will be a time of praise & worship and bible study as the focus of the large group gatherings, and there will be some opportunity for relaxing along the way. For any golfers interested in attending, we’ll have a chance to play the Black Mountain Golf Course, home of the famous 747 yard par 6 17th hole, at one time the longest hole in the world. LBC is hosting a Service of Remembrance on Sunday, November 15th at 4 p.m. in our Chapel. We are inviting any who have lost a loved one (this year or years’ past) to join us for this special service. It will include special music and a message of hope as well as an opportunity to light a candle in memory of your loved one. You are invited to bring a picture of your loved one to display in the Chapel before and during the service. The service will conclude with light refreshments in the Reception Hall.
On November 22, the Lexington Community Choir will be performing Handel’s Messiah right here at LBC. If you’d like to be a part of this great production, you’ll need to attend the four rehearsals (click here for all the details). There are no auditions required, so please come and be a part of this great choir!
On December 11 and 12 at 6:30 p.m., join us for Christmas at the Barn! We’ll be at Harmon’s Tree Farm in Gilbert on both evenings for a great time of telling the Christmas story, live music, bonfires, s’mores, hot chocolate, crafts, a fun photo booth and even SNOW! This is a free event for the entire family- don’t miss it!!
