We’re starting an additional worship experience here at LBC on Wednesday nights! Join us weekly at 6:30p.m. for Electric Chapel. We’ll gather in the LBC Chapel for for this new service, complete with familiar elements such as music and teaching plus some new things designed to help you engage in our time together. Wee Care is available for children from birth to age five- older children are welcome to join you.
LBC is now hosting a support group for any adult who has experience the death of a loved one called “Joy in the Mourning.” They meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Men, are you ready for Bible study, brotherhood and bacon? Of course you are! Join us for three consecutive Fridays (September 9, 16 and 23) for “Man Mornings.” We will meet from 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for some breakfast ($2) and time spent in the Word with Pastor Mike. Do not miss it, and make sure to bring a friend along.
Our children’s choirs will kick-off with Lex Kids Worship & Arts on Sunday, September 11 at 6 p.m. We have a place for children ages three through fifth grade. If your child loves music, this is a great place to get them plugged in! We’ll see you in the Children’s Building on the 11th!
Our ladies singing ensemble, Heartsong, begins on September 13 at 6:15 p.m. in the Reception Hall. This group is directed by Jean Senn and is for any woman that has a love of lifting her voice in song to the Lord. We will be meeting every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Our next Dinner with the Pastor is coming up on Sunday, September 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This casual dinner is for new members or anyone considering church membership. Wee Care is available by registration only. RSVP today for you and your family!
We are kicking our women’s ministry off with an amazing creative event on Saturday, September 24 called “Created.” This day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature worship, guest speaker Jess Connolly, creative breakout sessions, food and lots of fun. Hey 5th graders: this is for you! We will be taking our 5th graders to Clinton Sease Farm for some corn maze fun on Sunday, October 9 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10, and we’ll need you to RSVP to email@example.com if you want to come along!
Our biggest outreach event of the year is coming up on Thursday, October 27: Light up the Night! We’ll come together in the main LBC Parking Lot for trunk or treat, rides, games, music and more. Admission is free, so tell everyone you know! There will be several food trucks on-site where you can purchase food. We’ll be starting candy collection in September, so keep a lookout for the large candy bins in the lobbies and bring us a bag or two to help make this night a success.
Students, join us after the game on October 28 at 9 p.m. in the FLC for “5th Quarter.” We’ll have food, inflatables, video games and more- do not miss this awesome night!
Parents, is it time for a date night? Let LBC help! Drop your kiddos off with us on November 11 from 5 to 9 p.m. for a night of fun, while you and your spouse spend some quality time alone. You’ll have four hours together, and we’ll even give you a pre-planned date kit to help you figure out what to do with all of that free time! The cost is $10/child with a $25 family maximum. This amount includes a pizza dinner for your children. Sign up in the Children’s Lobby starting October 23- space will fill up quickly!
Elementary kids, it’s time for another Small Group Hangtime on Sunday, November 13! Join us right after church for pizza in your Sunday School classroom, then we’ll take the church bus to J.C.’s Bowling for a fun afternoon together. The cost is $5/person- please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Christmas at the Barn is one of our biggest and favorite events of the entire year. We head out to Harmon’s Tree Farm in Gilbert for Christmas music, a creative telling of the Christmas Story, live nativity scene, hot chocolate, Photo Booth, s’mores, bonfires, SNOW and more. This event is free and so much fun for the entire family. We’ll be there for two identical evenings- choose whichever one works best for your family: December 9 and 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Please bring a friend or two and enjoy Christmas at the Barn with us!
