Wednesdays in July, beginning July 8, Pastor Mike will be leading us in a new Wednesday night series called “Living with the Holy Spirit: How to Experience His Presence in a Fresh New Way.” Join us in the Chapel at 6:15 p.m. for this great series.
Every Sunday in August, Pastor Mike will be leading us in a new sermon series called “Then Sings My Soul” which will take us through several of the Psalms. This series goes along with our “Week of Refreshment” and is designed to uplift your spirit. Join us at 9 or 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Join us nightly from Sunday, August 2 to Wednesday, August 5 at 7 p.m. in the Worship Center for a time of worship, praise and spiritual refreshment. From Sunday to Tuesday night, we’ll have Johnson Dorn as our guest speaker (Hope Chapel) and Regi Stone as our worship leader (singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN). Finishing up our “Week of Refreshment” will be nationally-known recording artist Charles Billingsley. He will be leading us in a great musical experience on Wednesday, August 5 at 7 p.m. in the Worship Center. Find more details here.
Our Next Generation Ministry is holding a huge Open House on Sunday, August 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the Gym. This will be a time for parents, students/children and our Next Gen Volunteers to have fun, play games, eat great food and get to know each other better. Parents, you’ll be able to meet your child/student’s small group leader for the upcoming year, as well.
Starting Wednesday, August 19, we are offering D Groups (Discipleship Groups) for adults. These groups allow for you to grow spiritually while connecting with other believers, and we’ll offer five for you to choose from, including a pastor’s Bible study. Click here for all of the details.
On August 21 at 7 p.m. we’ll be holding “A Night of Humor and Hymns” here at LBC. The night will feature comedy by Dennis Swanberg and music by Michael Lord. For more information or to order tickets click here.
Our next Men’s Monthly Bible Study with Foster Christy will be on Friday, August 28 at 7 a.m. in the Reception Hall. Guys, join us for this time of fellowship and learning with other men (and yes, there is coffee). Bring a friend, and we’ll see you there.
To celebrate the 122nd anniversary of LBC, we will have a special 122-voice choir performing on Sunday, August 30 during both worship services. If you would like to lend your voice to be a part of this great morning, please email the music office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Sunday, August 30 at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center, the LBC Orchestra will be performing “An Evening of Instrumental Praise” with director Scott Clark and guest composer/arranger Phillip E. Allen. This event is free and open to the public- we’d love for you to join us for this very special night!
Are you ready to get in the game? Join us on Sunday, Septmber 6 for Tailgate Sunday at LBC! Wear your favorite team’s colors and attend worship at 9 a.m. Then, we’ll all move over to the Family Life Center for a BBQ lunch (catered by Hudson’s Smokehouse) and have a great time playing a corn hole tournament outside. Lunch is free, just pick up a ticket in the Worship Center foyer in August to help us plan. Wee Care is available through age five during the worship service, and children will eat with their parents at lunch.

This summer, LBC is taking one more mission trip (September 21-25) to New York City to participate in Global Gates Sifting Weeks. We will be focusing on engaging and sharing our faith with Central Asians living in New York City. This is a great way to get your family involved in mission without leaving the country.
