Sundays now through August 13, we’ll be in a series called “Draw Me Close: Building Intimacy with the Father.” This series, led by Pastor Mike, will explore what believers should know in order to build upon their personal relationship with Christ. Join us at 9 or 10:30 a.m.
Senior Adults, join us for our annual "Maters and Mayonnaise" M&M Supper on August 18 at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall ($5/person). Michael Shull will provide musical entertainment for this fun night. RSVP to 803.996.8843 or email@example.com.
On Sunday morning, August 20, all of our kids will move up to their new classes (based on age and grade level). There will be plenty of volunteers in the Children’s Building to help your family find your new classroom locations.
Are you a teacher, administrator or home school parent? We want to recognize and thank you for your dedication to the next generation on Sunday, August 20, at both our 9 and 10:30 services, so make sure to be in church that morning. We will offer a brunch in your honor after both services, so please choose whichever works best for your family’s schedule. We will have a gift for you, as well! If you plan to attend brunch, please let us know by using our online RSVP form.
Our talented orchestra, under the direction of Scott Clark with special guest John Gage, will be performing an Evening of Instrumental Praise on Sunday, August 20 in the Worship Center at 6 p.m. Bring a friend and get ready for a great night!
Our English-as-a-Second Language classes return on Wednesday, August 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the third floor of the Chapel Building. If you know someone that would benefit from these classes, invitation cards are available in the church lobby, or contact our Missions Ministry for more information.
Pastor Mike will be leading a two-part series on Wednesdays August 23 and 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall called "The Road to Restoration." Restoration is more than just experiencing healing or the mending of relationships— it’s actually the divine act of resetting your life when it’s gotten off track. Deuteronomy 30:3 promises that when we return to him, he will “restore your fortunes and have mercy on you.” Restoration is something that only the Lord can do—and the way its power works in our lives is amazing and encouraging.
Do you love to sing or play an instrument but aren't yet plugged into the Worship Ministry? Well, join us on Wednesday, August 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Reception Hall as we kick-off a new year of Choir & Orchestra at LBC. There will be lots of BBQ and great company- if you plan to attend, let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our first mission trip to Portland, Oregon, is from September 2-9. We'll be visiting the Lott family and helping with their church plant, mainly through prayer walking and evangelism. If you'd like to join us on this trip, the cost is $600/person, and you can contact Janet Butler in the missions office at email@example.com for more information or to sign up.
One of our favorite Sundays of the year is coming! Sunday, September 3 is Tailgate Sunday at LBC! We have just one worship service at 9 a.m., followed by a barbecue tailgate lunch at 10:30 a.m. (catered by Hudson's Smokehouse). There is no Sunday School (Wee Care for kids under five is available during worship). There will be bounce houses and games for kids, a corn hole tournament and some friendly mascots just may make an appearance. Wear your favorite team's colors and come ready for a great day of worship and fellowship.
If you're a new member or interested in church membership, please join us for our next "Lunch with the Pastor" on Sunday, September 10 at 12 p.m., right after church in the Fellowship Hall. This casual lunch gives us a chance to get to know each other a little bit better. Lunch is on us, just register to let us know you'll attend. There is also Wee Care available by reservation only for children.
