The Signal

Our monthly magazine, the Signal, gives you a deeper look at what’s going on in and around Lexington Baptist Church. Click the cover image below to read this month’s edition.

March 2018

February 6 through March 18, we'll be in a Sunday morning series called "Out of Darkness into Light," which will take us through the book of 1 Peter. Pastor Mike will be leading these Sunday mornings at both 9 and 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center. You can also watch live at lexingtonbaptist.org/live.

During the month of March, join Pastor Mike on Wednesdays in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m. for our Pastoral Bible study. This month, we'll be focusing on "Patriarchs: Encountering the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph." Join us as we learn how God moved in the lives of these patriarchs of our faith and what we can take from their stories.

We are excited to offer LifeDesign classes for adults on Wednesday nights, with a new session beginning March 7. This is a new direction designed to impact our church family and the community with Gospel-centered Bible studies intended to help us walk with Christ daily. Our goal for Wednesday evenings in 2018 is to offer studies that will enable you in the everyday grind we call life. Click here for more information.

Middle schoolers: join us for Mini World Changers 2018! March 16-18 is a fun, mission and service project weekend just for 6th-8th graders at Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, SC. The cost is $60 for students and $30 for chaperones. For more information or to sign up, email Kristen King at kking@lexingtonbaptist.org.

Our next Oil Change Ministry for single mothers and widows will be on Saturday, March 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at 111 Efird Street, right behind the Family Life Center. If you'd like to volunteer to do car checks, oil changes or administration, please contact Kevin Barber at kebarber@windstream.net. Volunteers should plan to arrive at 7:30 a.m.

As we celebrate the start of Holy Week, Palm Sunday will be a day of special musical worship. On Sunday, March 25, during both our 9 and 10:30 a.m. services, we'll enjoy a morning of awesome music as we commemorate this great day.

Join us for our Maundy Thursday service on March 29 at 7 p.m. in the Worship Center. This meaningful service is one of our favorites each year--be there to participate in the Lord's Supper and a time of purposeful personal prayer. There is Wee Care for children five and under.

April 2018

He is Risen! Join us on Sunday, April 1 as we celebrate the fact that Jesus rose from the dead and is ALIVE! We'll have three services: 8 a.m. in the Chapel (no children's activities during this service), then at 9 and 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center. We'll have regular Sunday School on this day. Invite friends or family to attend-- they'll be invitation cards ready for you at the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings.

Our Lex Kids Worship & Arts children's choirs will be performing their spring musical, "Born to Praise You" on Sunday, April 15 at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center. These talented kids work hard all season to prepare, and we hope you'll make plans to attend!

You are not going to want to miss this!! Families, join us for FamBlitz Live: a 1 hour and 20 minute crowd participation show that inspires families to think like a team. Parents and kids participate on stage and from their seats in a variety of games and challenges. A Biblical message is woven in throughout games and crowd challenges with no dedicated preaching time. That means never a moment where the crowd is asked to simply sit and listen. And because FamBlitz Live is a high energy event that the whole family can enjoy, it’s great as an opportunity to invite friends and neighbors! Mark your calendars for April 22: more details will be coming soon!

Are you a new member or considering church membership? Then join us for this casual lunch where we can get to know each other better, and you'll find out what membership at LBC is all about! Lunch is on us, and so is the Wee Care, just make your reservations here.
