September 2017

Our English-as-a-Second Language classes return on Wednesday, August 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the third floor of the Chapel Building. If you know someone that would benefit from these classes, invitation cards are available in the church lobby, or contact our Missions Ministry for more information.

This fall, we have some amazing Wednesday nights planned for your family. Each week for adults, we have a Pastoral Bible study, as well as three D Groups. You can get all of the details on the groups here, but they all start at 6:30 p.m. weekly. Make plans to eat dinner with us and stay for a great time of learning and fellowship.

For all of you men (and for all of you wives who need your men to attend), make plans to join us on the three consecutive Friday mornings of September 8, 15 and 22 for a great breakfast ($2 for breakfast—you can’t beat that), a challenging Bible study and the chance to meet new friends. We start at 6:30 a.m. each morning and are finished promptly at 7:15 a.m. I’ll be teaching a special series called, “A Man’s Temptations: Money, Sex and Power,” that will give you practical encouragement in how to stay faithful to God in each of those three crucial areas.

If you're a new member or interested in church membership, please join us for our next "Lunch with the Pastor" on Sunday, September 10 at 12 p.m., right after church in the Fellowship Hall. This casual lunch gives us a chance to get to know each other a little bit better. Lunch is on us, just register to let us know you'll attend. There is also Wee Care available by reservation only for children.

The goal of Fam Jam is to create an experience for families to learn and worship together, and then give families a springboard for conversations for days and weeks to come. After our worship time, we’ll have a family dinner. Everything is free! Join us September 10 at 6 p.m.

Our Sunday School teachers are invited to attend a leadership meeting on Sunday, September 17 at 5:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please RSVP to Catherine Caldwell at ccaldwell@lexingtonbaptist.org to reserve child care.

Every child can learn how to worship the Lord and praise His name in creative and wonderful ways by joining one of our outstanding choirs for kids!  Join us on September 17 from 6 to 7 p.m. as we kick off a brand new year!

The 20s - 30s Young Singles Class invites you to join them for Sunday School and lunch on Sunday, September 24. Sunday School begins at 10:30 a.m. in AEB 512, and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet members of the class and pastoral staff, learn more about the young singles ministry and get connected to the church. Contact Mark Owens at mowens@lexingtonbaptist.org if you have any questions.

October 2017

Lexington Worship is excited to present "Spirit Fall," a night of worship experience, on Sunday, October 1 at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center. We can't wait for this amazing night to share as a church body and hope you will make plans to attend!

It's almost time for one of our very favorite events of the year: Light up the Night! Join us Thursday, October 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the main LBC Parking Lot for trunk or treat, rides, games, music and more! Admission is FREE and there will be lots of food trucks on site if you'd like to purchase some dinner or snacks. We hope to see you then! If you would like to volunteer to decorate your trunk, donate candy or help us work the event, email Kristen King.
