Loving Lexington & Beyond:

What is Loving Lexington & Beyond?

This is your chance to get involved and live the light of Jesus Christ in our community and beyond. We have many different opportunities for you to choose from to impact the Kingdom:

April 5: Loving Lexington & Beyond Day (Click HERE for a list of contact people and meeting spots for Saturday)

Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center: {Reception Hall- 10 am to Noon}
Learn more about Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center. Fill gift bags for clients or take the option of going to the ministry and planting flowers to create an inviting atmosphere. Snacks and water provided.

Pray for the Persecuted Church: {Fellowship Hall- 10 am to Noon}
Meet with a couple that can share firsthand how to make a difference to brothers and sisters in Christ who are being imprisoned, tortured and harassed in other countries because they follow Jesus. Snacks and water provided.

Spring Clean and Shopping Fling: {LICS- 10 am to Noon}
Did you know that your skill as a shopper can be missions? Join a group from LBC and head to Lexington Interfaith Community Services. See the ministry from behind the scenes. Work to sort and clean the storage area and the thrift shop. Join in a shopping spree and encourage other shoppers as you meet them in the shop. Bring in food and find out how it’s used to share Jesus.

ARISE Ministry Home Repair: {Samaritan’s Well- 10 am to Noon}
Join with ARISE ministry’s home repair group in putting in new floor covering at Samaritan’s Well Women’s Shelter. Lunch is provided and will be enjoyed with the residents of the shelter.

Landscaping with ARISE: {Central Midlands Transitional Center- 10 am to 2 pm}
Come out and get the property ready for spring and have lunch with the men working to walk away from addiction and rebuild their lives.

Pelion Project Unveiling & Backyard Grilling: {Pelion Property- 10 am to 1 pm}
Join Redirect Church in ‘cutting the ribbon’ on our partnership there as they invite the community to experience the new property. We will help with set-up, children’s activities, music and relationship building as we partner with Redirect to reach Pelion.

ARISE Oil Change Ministry: {FLC Parking Lot- 7:30 am to 1 pm}
Join the ARISE ministry’s oil change group to assist with setting up the welcome area, registration, car oil change points and check points needed to help widows and single moms of the community keep their cars on the road. Then, work one of these areas and enjoy the fellowship of working together and getting to know each other better, all while praying for those that are broken and share a need for Christ.

Next Gen Toms Paint Party: {Gym- 1 to 3 pm}
Our Next Generation Student Ministry will be coming together to decorate their new pairs of TOMS shoes. TOMS is a company that matches your shoe purchase by sending another pair to an area of the world where shoes are desperately needed. Ask a student to give you the details!

Hit the Streets: {Downtown Columbia- 10:30 am to 1:30 pm}
Join Streetside Ministry in downtown Columbia to set up food and serve to families and individuals who do not have a home. You will be able to help with food, music and activities as you get to know each other and offer a listening ear, a prayer and take any opportunities to share the light of Jesus.
