Nursing/Assisted Living Facility Ministry

Senior adults go, two-by-two, to local assisted living facilities weekly to provide Bible study, music, and prayer for the residents. Contact: Al Edenfield

Homebound Visitation

Seniors are assigned members of Lexington Baptist Church who are homebound or living in an assisted living facility to visit each month. Visits are an interactive time of conversations and card-writing, as well as delivery of special gifts throughout the year. Contact: Lila Hunsucker

Family Life Center Volunteers

This ministry provides volunteers to assist at the reception desk in our Family Life Center. Volunteers serve two- or three-hour shifts during the week. Contact: Alys Blair 

Connie Maxwell Children’s Home

Early in the Christmas season, LBC senior adults provide gift cards for children who live at Connie Maxwell. Also, LBC seniors  have ‘adopted’ one of the Connie Maxwell cottages and provide birthday gifts for the residents. In the spring, LBC seniors spend one Saturday and grill hamburgers and hot dogs for the residents. Connie Maxwell Children’s Home is a ministry of the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Flower Delivery

Early in the week volunteers (men and/or women) take the flowers that grace our worship center on Sunday, make several smaller arrangements, and deliver them to homebound members and residents of assisted living facilities. Contact: Joyce Meyer

Office Volunteers

Senior adult volunteers help in the main church office by answering the telephone, stuffing envelopes and bulletins and labeling mailings. Contact: Stacey Timmerman
