Wednesdays in January
6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall
Pastor Mike is leading a new Wednesday night Bible study called "Holy Spirit: Giver of Life." This series will be about how the only way we can go deeper into the Kingdom and receive more of what the Bible promises us is through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Join us in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., beginning January 3, 2018.
This year we are changing the name of our Wednesday night adult classes to LifeDesign. This change is more than a change of name, it is a new direction designed to impact our church family and the community with Gospel-centered Bible studies intended to help us walk with Christ daily. Our goal for Wednesday evenings in 2018 is to offer studies that will enable you in the everyday grind we call life. The winter session of LifeDesign begins January 3, 2018- classes meet weekly at 6:30 p.m.
Managing our Finances God's Way
Led by Rev. Mark Owens in CHB 201
Did you know there are over 2,350 verses in the Bible about money? Did you know that nearly half of Jesus’ parables are about possessions? The Bible is packed with wise counsel about your financial life. In fact, Jesus had more to say about money than about heaven and hell combined. Co-developed with Purpose Driven Ministries and Pastor Rick Warren, this seven-week, video-based, small group study, provides another option for studying biblical financial management in a personal or small group setting.
Foundations of the Christian Faith
Led by Wayne Pierce in CHB 206
Foundations of the Christian Faith is designed to help you grow toward a deeper understanding of what you believe and help you respond to current objections to these truth claims.
Led by Jennifer O'Cain in CHB 208
Have you ever wondered how, or where, to begin the adoption/fostering journey? Maybe you have some burning questions that have yet to be answered? In this series, we will walk you through some crucial first steps you must take when you are first beginning, or continuing, your adoption/fostering journey. We know how overwhelming this can be, but we also know how rewarding and exciting the journey is when you walk into it as prepared as possible.
Led by Matt Berrens in CHB 203
Many Christians are nervous about telling someone else about Jesus. We prefer to leave it up to the preacher, or to those we see as particularly gifted for evangelism in our congregations. But all believers are called to make disciples. The nine sessions in this curriculum don’t offer quick fixes or evangelism “gimmicks”, but by continually pointing us back to the gospel, they will give us the proper motivation to work together as a church to share the gospel message with those who are lost without Christ.
LBC is thrilled to be able to offer ESL to our community again this year. We kick-off a new season of classes on January 10, 2018 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There is free child care offered, as well. Meet us in room CHB 301/302 (upstairs in the Chapel Building).
